RAGI AMBALI OR RAGI MALT
Ragi, as everyone knows, is very healthy and rich in fibre contents. Ragi ambali is almost like ragi malt but it has more liquid consistency. The method to prepare ambali is very easy. You first boil water, then add ragi flour and then stir continuously so that no lumps are formed and then depending on what consistency you need you can add extra flour. This can be served with either buttermilk or just milk.
Health benefits
Studies have shown that consuming ragi on daily basis helps in dealing with conditions like insomnia, anxiety, and depression. Also the amino acids present in ragi work as a natural relaxant. Ragi could also be very beneficial for people with regular migraine attacks.
Cooling for summers: The presence of the cooling buttermilk makes ambali a great summer drink. 3. Rich in calcium: Ragi grain is rich in calcium, which is essential for the health of the bones and teeth. The presence of buttermilk also makes this drink calcium-rich.
